It does not matter how slowly you go as long as you
continue.
INDIVIDUALS
Whether you are seeking help with anxiety, depression, spiritual struggles, relationship challenges, gender or sexual identity – slowing down and listening to your genuine self is always at the core of the work. We will look at the many layers of your life: the emotions that arise in the therapy room, your life outside of therapy, your family of origin, your cultural background, and your perceived place in society at large. As we move through this ambitious and often abstract and creative process, we will also spend time dealing in practicalities. We will engage in problem solving and skill building, take inventories of what helps you cope during difficult times and what regular self-care you need in order to feel well. You will build on what works and consider letting go of what doesn’t.
I enjoy working with individuals as they transition into new stages of their life and cope with the many challenges to identity, self, and relationship that often result. I work with clients ranging from 7-70 on issues relating to grief, infertility, school refusal, depression, anxiety, tic disorders, OCD, relationships, moral and religious identity, sexual abuse, sexual and gender identity, and managing chronic mental illness. The best way to get a sense of how we might work together is to give me a call. I look forward to hearing from you.
